Snipes Company began as a part-time contract cleaner in 1969 under the name of Elliott & Snipes Janitorial Services. Their first location was in the home garage of Howard Snipes in upper Lancaster County, South Carolina.
In early 1970, a location at 103 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, South Carolina became available and the business was moved to Rock Hill.
The partnership under Elliott & Snipes dissolved in July 1972 allowing Howard Snipes to establish his janitorial supply house and began operation under the name Snipes Company. In 1975, property was purchased, land cleared and a 6000-square-foot office warehouse was built on Pendleton Street in Rock Hill. In 1979, a 3600-square-foot office warehouse was added, in 1985, a 4000-square-foot addition, and in 2002 a 4000-square-foot addition. At the present time, Snipes Company operates at 502 Pendleton Street, Rock Hill, South Carolina with 17,600 square feet of office and warehouse space, offering janitorial supplies and services.
For over 35 years Snipes Company has been locally owned and family operated with father, two daughters, one son and one son-in-law.
Snipes Company carries a full line of chemicals, equipment, paper products and also provides cleaning services and equipment repair. They service greater upper South Carolina and the southern North Carolina areas.
